Counselling for Parents
Starting a family and raising children can be the most challenging and meaningful experiences in life. Parenting also often brings up parts of ourselves we didn’t expect, while also asking more of us than we feel we have to give. Whatever phase of your parenting journey you’re in, you don’t have to face it alone.

Common themes I support include:

-
Doubt and second-guessing
-
Anxiety and depression
-
Intrusive or compulsive thoughts or actions
-
Grief and loss
-
Changes in identity or sense of self
-
Building helpful support systems
-
Relationship strain and interpersonal conflict
-
Disappointment, resentment, and grief
-
Death anxiety, emptiness, and existential concerns
-
Troubling coping behaviours
-
Difficulty with emotional regulation
-
Overwhelm and feeling at a loss
Wherever you are in your parenting journey, this phase of life can bring up questions, emotions, and challenges you never expected. In counselling, we can untangle what you’re struggling with and explore ways forward that work for you.
I provide counselling for parents and caregivers in person in Victoria, BC and virtually across British Columbia.
Looking for a different kind of support? I also offer counselling for individuals and couples.

Fee
Individual counselling is $155 per 50-minute session.

I offer direct billing to many major insurance providers through Telus Health eClaims. Please check with your extended health provider to see if your coverage is applicable for direct billing this way. I can also provide receipts as needed for you to submit to your extended health provider.
