I have the privilege of working with clients at all stages of life who are navigating incredibly difficult things. Whether those things are rooted in the past, making life hard right now, or looming in the future, I take great care to understand your experience and hold it with you. When you’re ready, I’ll work alongside you to find a path forward.

I moved into counselling and psychotherapy after navigating loss, parenthood, and the pandemic. These experiences changed my understanding of what support actually feels like, how we move through periods of extreme stress, and what it can take to keep functioning when things feel impossible. I stepped away from the corporate world and into this work, and I feel honoured every day to support people through their own challenges.

I’ve seen how much can shift when people have a dedicated space to slow down, be heard, and focus on themselves. Having someone in your corner who creates that space for you can make a meaningful difference.

I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. I tailor my work around you, creating an inclusive space grounded in what you care about. We move at your pace, exploring your experiences, values, relationships, and what meaningful change might look like for you.

My approach draws from several therapeutic modalities, including person-centred, existential, and narrative therapies. I may also incorporate elements of dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and other research-informed approaches depending on what feels most useful for you.

About Leah

  • Counselling with me is collaborative and steady. I am here to help you slow down and reflect on whatever feels most important to you. I ask a lot of clarifying questions, highlight patterns that I’m noticing, and identify strengths and opportunities that could help bring you closer to whatever your goals might be. I will also ask you about your relationships, support systems, experiences, and responsibilities you carry. You’re always in control of what we talk about, and there’s no expectation to go into anything you’re not ready for.

I might offer practical tools or skills, different perspectives, or gentle challenges. You get to decide what fits for you; some things will land right away, others might need adjusting to work for you. That’s part of the process.

The relationship we build together matters. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and understood.

  • When I’m not in session with clients, I’m likely with friends or family, testing out a new recipe, binging some UK drama, or taking in the natural beauty we're lucky enough to have here in Victoria.

Like everyone, I’m also navigating the everyday rhythms of life in a world that can feel heavy. We're all doing our best with what we have, and I bring that sense of humanity and understanding into the counselling room with me.

  • My work is integrative, which means I do not use just one type of therapy. Instead, I have trained in and draw from a range of evidence-based approaches. This allows me to shape your treatment around you and your goals, making our work together flexible and effective. Some areas of my training and experience include the following.
